First, there are existing laws requiring mental health personnel to report individuals who maybe a threat to themselves and to others.
This is to keep them from purchasing weapons. So as they contemplate new gun control laws they need to look at what is already on the books.
Second, you can bet that the individuals listed below were never reported. Just as the shooters at Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, and others.
Mental health personnel who did not report these people, in my opinion, should be charged as accessories.
Maybe then they will fulfill their duty. They seem to think they can cure these people, some by the 'silver bullet' of drugs.
The role of the parents in these cases needs also to be reviewed.
Stop blaming an inanimate object and look at the real problem, the person holding the weapon.
